module one
Digital infrastructure and AI systems.
Six sub-modules, fifty-five minutes, no prerequisites. What a data centre is as a building and as a system, what a model does, and where both sit in a supply chain that starts at a mine.

what it covers
Reading a data centre proposal.
The supply chain underneath the machine: minerals and metals, silicon, racks, power, cooling, networks and models. Six sub-modules, each with one activity on your own material and five graded items. Every lease, equity and water-licence conversation that follows is conducted in these units.
01
Locate the layer
Any vendor, technology or proposal locates at one of seven layers, and what that layer depends on beneath it becomes visible.
02
Convert the units
Megawatts against megawatt-hours, rack density in kilowatts, and water in cubic metres a year, each checked against a real reference point.
03
Name the missing disclosures
The technical disclosures a proposal needs before it can be assessed, and which of them an information package leaves out.
04
Identify the participation model
Majority equity, lease revenue, procurement and workforce — and which one a described project actually follows.
the sub-modules
Sub-modules.
Each one stands alone: a cold open on a real document, five to eight minutes of teaching, one activity on your own material, and five graded items.
Data centre physical architecture
White space and grey space, racks and rows, power distribution, cooling plant, network entry and security zoning, from a container to a campus.
Machine learning and language models
What a model is in plain language, and why training is a capital event while inference is an operating cost.
continued
Sub-modules, continued.
The last three sub-modules turn the vocabulary into something a learner can apply to a document a developer hands over.

The compute value chain
Seven layers from minerals and metals through to applications, and the two layers Nations are currently invited into.
Units, metrics and capacity
Megawatts against megawatt-hours, rack density, water in cubic metres, and how to tell a designed figure from one chosen to fit a cap.
Proposal disclosure standards
What a complete technical disclosure contains, and how to name what is missing from an information package.
The module artifact
An Organizational Digital Readiness Assessment, scored against five prerequisites, each with a documented route out of the gap.
the take away
What the learner keeps.
Every sub-module ends in a downloadable written to be usable by someone who has not taken the course.
Readiness assessment
Five prerequisites scored for your own organization: connectivity, devices, technical support, staff digital skills and data governance policy.
module artifact
Conversion card
The quantities in an infrastructure proposal, with the reference points that make a stated figure legible.

Module credential
Sub-modules are individually completable and individually badged, and all ten modules make the credential.

next step
Take this module on its own.
Modules are bought singly and the introduction is free. All ten make the credential.
